Credit & how billing works
Your account is prepaid. You hold a credit balance with Brixly, and everything you provision is charged from it at wholesale. You set your own retail prices in your WHMCS and keep the difference.
The model in one line
You pay us wholesale from credit; your customer pays you retail in your WHMCS. The two are independent — we never bill your customers, and your retail prices are entirely yours.
What gets charged, and when

New service | The one-off setup fee (if any) plus the first billing period, at the time it's provisioned. |
Renewal | The recurring price, charged automatically a few days before each service's due date — for as long as the service is active. |
Upgrade | Only the prorated difference for the remainder of the current period (see Upgrades & billing). |
Downgrade | Nothing now — future renewals simply bill at the lower price (the current period isn't refunded automatically). |
Domains | Registration, transfer and renewal are charged at the point they happen. |
Renewals are charged on our schedule (per active service), independent of whether your customer has paid you yet. Keep enough credit to cover your active base.
Running low, and what happens
When your balance drops below your threshold you'll see a warning here and (if enabled) by email.
If a renewal can't be charged because credit is too low, that service is suspended with us and you're notified.
Top up and it heals itself — suspended services are automatically renewed and reactivated once you have enough credit. You don't need to do anything else.
Domains can't be suspended, so an unfunded domain simply lapses toward expiry; top up before then to keep it.
Refunds
If provisioning ever fails after a charge, the amount is automatically refunded to your credit.
Downgrades and mid-cycle cancellations aren't auto-refunded for the current period. If a partial refund is warranted, contact us — we can credit it manually.
Seeing your history
The Billing page lists every credit movement — charges, top-ups, refunds and adjustments — each with the running balance, so you can reconcile against your own books.
Wholesale is billed in GBP. When you set retail prices, keep a small margin buffer — and, if you sell in another currency, also allow for exchange-rate movement against GBP. See Wholesale pricing & margins.
