WebHost Manager (WHM)
WebHost Manager, or WHM for short, is the control panel right at the heart of your Reseller account and your hosting service.
WHM allows you to create your own custom hosting packages with your own limits.
All WHM details are provided in your Welcome Email which you received when signing up.
To access WHM you can either use yourdomain.com/whm or HOSTNAME.cloudns.io:2087 (Hostname is the name of the server your account lives on, i.e. alfa.cloudns.io:2087)
WebHost Manager Complete Solution (WHMCS)
WHMCS is the platform which allows your set up to be fully automated, from creating new cPanel accounts to invoicing, billing and suspensions. Your clients can order hosting services, raise tickets and make payments to you through WHMCS.
WHMCS communicates directly with your WHM control panel.
We also provide the Brixly Domain API to you which can be integrated with WHMCS quite easily! This will allow your customer to buy domain names from you, at your prices!
Finally, we provide custom name servers and control panel URL for your account, along with glue records, which your clients can use to setup and point domain names to your hosting service.
So, how does it all fit together?
cPanel accounts – these are the individual hosting accounts that contain a client’s domains, websites and email accounts.
WHM – this is your management system that contains all the individual cPanel accounts. This is where you specify the limits and features provided in each cPanel account via WHM Packages & Features
WHMCS – this is an optional extra for WHM – that provides a billing and client management solution as well as a front-end website that allows your clients to login to their hosting account with you and view their hosting packages, domains and billing. WHMCS can be fully integrated with WHM, so you can add, edit and remove clients here and any changes will be reflected in WHM.
