JustHost - how to move your website to a new host

This article shows you how to move your account from JustHost to Brixly Web Solutions. If you don't yet have a hosting plan or are just looking for a JustHost Alternative then check our website, where we have some of the UK's leading Reseller Hosting and Unlimited Web Hosting plans If you aren't a reseller and want to migrate a single site from JustHost, to here, then the easiest thing to do is simply get in touch with our support team who would be more than happy to pull the site over for you. Unfortunately, the 'backup and restore' functionality inside cPanel doesn't permit the restoration of a 'full cPanel backup' (or cpmove* file) as it requires the account to be recreated. As such, we can do this for you from our end relatively easily. The other thing that is worth pointing out here is that migrating from JustHost without downtime is 100% possible - our team handles hundreds of migrations a week, so they have the experience to ensure you are moved as seamlessly as possible. We are able to achieve this by creating a full cPanel backup within the JustHost control panel, copying the generated backup file over to our servers, then simply restoring the account - IMPORTANT: this process will overwrite the contents of the existing cPanel account, so if you have purchased a new account under the same domain as the account being migrated, the content will be replaced with the contents from the backup. The great news is, a full cPanel migration can be done keeping files, MySQL databases, passwords (usually) and email addresses / contents completely in-tact! So migration from JustHost isn't a process to be worried about, simply let the team do the hard work for you. If you do wish though, to simply pull the files and the databases over, see below...
Step 1 - Purchasing your Brixly cPanel account For fast, unlimited website hosting see https://brixly.uk/unlimited-web-hosting/ For unlimited reseller hosting with free ssl's and much, much more, see https://brixly.uk/unlimited-reseller-hosting/ If you choose your website's existing domain name, that's fine (and recommended!) - see the note below... IMPORTANT: Ordering under the domain you are looking to migrate will simply create a hosting account, with that domain as a reference. This is absolutely fine and will not affect your existing site.
Step 2 - Create full backup at JustHost

On the next screen, click Full cPanel Backup.
On the next screen, choose which backup you wish to restore (check the dates for the most recent one).

Click the Click Here to Download link to save the backup archive to your computer. It may be a very large file, so this can take anything from a few minutes to several hours.
Uploading your backup to your Brixly cPanel account Using the details in your New cPanel Account Information welcome email, connect using FTP to your Home Server name.
